Four Light Blue Top (Sodium Citrate) tubes and one Lavendar Top (EDTA) tube: 2.7 mL (x4) and 2.0 mL (1) blood

Storage and Transport

Specimen should be recieved in lab by 10AM. Deliver immediately to laboratory. Do not send through the pneumatic tube system.

Special Instructions

Always allow blue top/citrate tubes to fill completely.

Causes for Rejection

Samples received on ice; clotted or hemolyzed specimen; improper labeling; insufficient quantity
