Unpreserved loose stool in sterile container.

Causes for Rejection

Use of non sterile container; delay in transport; improper labeling; formed stool.

This test will not be repeated within 10 days of a negative result and 28 days of a previously positive result, unless the clinician notes new onset of diarrhea in the ordering comments.

< 24 hours (Turn around time may be as little as 3 hours depending on volume of GI Panel samples).
