Room temperature. Transport to the lab immediately.
Special Instructions
Always allow blue top/citrate tubes to fill completely.
Causes for Rejection
Improperly filled tube; clotted specimen; hemolysis; improper labeling; insufficient quantity; delay in transport
Reference Range
Greater than 24 hours for clot dissolution.
Interpretation
The clot should not dissolve in less than 24 hours.
