Sulfatide Autoantibody TestIgG and more commonly IgM Antibodies to sulfatide have been associated with sensory and sensory-motor neuropathies sometimes accompanied by pain. Additionally, IgG anti-sulfatide antibodies have been associated with distal sensory polyneuropathy (DSP) in individuals with HIV.

Specimen Volume: 5 mL serum
Collection Instructions:
1. Within 48 hours of collection, centrifuge and aliquot 2 mL of serum into a plastic vial.
2. Send refrigerate.
Collect 4.0 mL blood in Red top tube.
